Community Access and Empowerment (CAE) was founded in November 2023 with the mission of empowering Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) individuals, to thrive in communication, career, and life. Recognizing the critical need for services that provide accessible communication, career opportunities/development, and life skills for the Deaf community, CAE was established to bridge gaps and create pathways to success.

Programs & Services we provide
CAE offers a variety of programs that allow Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals to thrive in communication, career, and life. Our goal is to provide individuals with the tools, education, and resources they need to achieve their personal and professional goals.
DHH Adult (IDLS) Program

The Independent Living Empowerment for Deaf Adults (ILEDA) program equips deaf and hard of hearing adults with the practical life skills they need to live independently, make informed decisions, and participate fully in their communities.
ASL Storytelling @ the Library

Come enjoy a fun and interactive storytelling experience in American Sign Language (ASL)!
Deaf Mentorship Program

The Deaf Mentorship & Family Support Program is designed to provide families with Deaf children access to Deaf mentors who guide and support their journey in American Sign Language (ASL) development, cultural identity, and social-emotional growth.
Community Outreach & Events

CAE offers events and community-based programs empower Deaf, DeafBlind, Deaf with disabilities, Hard of Hearing, and Late-Deafened individuals and families to achieve autonomy and full participation in society.
Birth-5 DHH Program

The DHH Birth–5 Program provides comprehensive early intervention services to support Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) children and their families in acquiring American Sign Language (ASL), developing Deaf identity, and connecting to the broader Deaf community.
